Watching TV

Posted by bordalix Thu, 14 Sep 2006 09:28:00 GMT

I have just found TVTUGA.com, a website where you can watch more than 150 TV channels, including the portuguese ones. Since I'm learning to play poker (with some friends), I can now watch the Poker channel at work (hope the boss don't read this). Well, was that or the Playboy channel...

The quality is not great, and I'm sure that in some days it will be impossible to watch any channel, just because I think the people from TVTUGA don't have the necessary bandwidth to accomodate a lot of users. Hope I'm wrong, good luck TVTUGA.

    Another good one: http://www.channelchooser.com

Bandwith issues with NetCabo for internatuonal traffic, unfortunately.

    Tiered internet anyone?

Errr both sites are simple streaming link collector (good ones, though). The stream is not provided by those guys, but directly from the original site, so there’s no bandwidth issues.

Note that the Portuguese channels are not quite “available”!

The original streams only work for Sapo and/or Netcabo connections, and if one is connected through them, certainly is at home and has a real TV. Bad luck for us working out of our home country. :(

    (any unofficial rtsp proxy around?)

I meant my bandwith because of the international bandwidth cap that NetCabo has. I’ve been waiting for news from Clix ADSL since December 2005….
